About Us

The Keith Jones Partnership was formed in May 2006 and the founding members are Keith Jones, Brenda Li and Nick Brown who are Solicitors specialising in business-to-business debt recovery and general commercial contract claims and have many years experience in this field.  Our clients range from sole traders through to international PLCs and we have acted in claims from less than £1,000 right up to several million pounds.

We pride ourselves on the pragmatic, yet commercial approach that we take to all matters.   The advice we give is very much focused on what is best for our clients and not what is best for us.  In our experience, far too many legal advisors recommend that issues are not raised in correspondence and parties are better advised to simply prepare a matter to Trial.   We do not agree with this philosophy as litigation is expensive and the outcome uncertain.

Trials are expensive and the outcome uncertain.  No matter how strong your case, there are no guarantees that the Judge will make what you consider to be the right decision.  There is also the risk that your opponent may end up insolvent. If this happens after an expensive trial, you will be left with nowhere to turn to recover your debt and you will have your own substantial legal costs to meet. Our track record of taking a very low percentage of cases all the way to Trial speaks in terms of our negotiation skills. If your case is strong then we will impress upon your opponent just how strong it is.

We also retain Cyber Essentials  – Certificate of Assurance. This certification is voluntary. We take cyber security and the protection of our clients’ data seriously so made the decision to seek Cyber Essentials certification. This reassures our clients that we are consistently working to secure our IT against cyber attacks and have the requisite cyber security measures in place.
